Jun 6, 2023

Colette Kelly, LMETB’s ELC Co-ordinator

LMETB’s Early Learning and Care (ELC) Co-ordinator, Colette Kelly, recently organised a Sharing Good Practice event for all teaching staff who currently deliver the QQI-approved ELC Level 5 programme in LMETB. Hosted by DIFE, 16 colleagues from across Louth and Meath met face to face to share good practice in ELC. The group discussed feedback from a national survey of ELC, differentiated learning across ELC and resource sharing for ELC Level 6, and attended a session on ‘Prioritising Health and Wellbeing; Empowering Educators for Optimal Performance’.

Attendee feedback on the event included:

‘Thank you so much. I found this day very beneficial and enjoyable. I came away feeling very positive!

‘Thanks to Colette, Caron and Teresa for a fantastic day from the ladies at O Fiaich’

‘Very informative and engaging Community of practice,, look forward to further facilitation by Colette in the future. Sharing of ideas has been meaningful and positive, and the social aspect for teachers creates a fabulous community of support and enhances our future practice’

LMETB recently developed a short guide to the QQI-approved ELC programmes at Levels 5 and 6.
